Abstract

This unit provides a very detailed exploration of clarifying questions and statements for English language learners (ELLs). There are opportunities for discussion, written and verbal activities, modeling of the formulation of appropriate questions, and workplace applications. The content includes a lesson plan with instructional activities, hand-outs, rubrics, and a culminating activity.

Benefits and Uses

This unit would be appropriate for inclusion in a bridge course across all career pathways.
